Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of SoundMeter, a mobile app published by Nokta Studio under the package name dev.noktastudio.soundmeter.
Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using SoundMeter, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License
Nokta Studio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SoundMeter for personal or internal lawful use, subject to these terms and any applicable app store rules.
Important measurement disclaimer
SoundMeter is a consumer utility app. It uses your phone's microphone to estimate sound levels, but it is not a certified, calibrated, or legally approved sound level meter unless you independently verify and calibrate it for your device and use case.
Permissions and device access
The app requires microphone access to provide its core sound measurement feature. If you deny that permission, parts of the app may not work correctly.
The app may also use network access for ads, app updates, store integration, or related platform services.
Ads, purchases, and third-party services
SoundMeter may display ads and may offer store-managed purchases, such as ad removal. Ads, purchases, billing, refunds, and related technical processing may be handled by third-party providers such as Google Play or advertising SDKs.
Your use of those services may also be subject to the provider's own terms, billing rules, and privacy policies.
Acceptable use
- You may not use the app in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
- You may not reverse engineer, modify, resell, or redistribute the app except where applicable law clearly permits it.
- You may not use SoundMeter to misrepresent measurements as certified or legally authoritative when they are not.
Intellectual property
SoundMeter, its design, branding, code, and related materials are owned by Nokta Studio or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No warranty
SoundMeter is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nokta Studio disclaims warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nokta Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of SoundMeter.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Nokta Studio's total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any, during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Suspension, updates, and termination
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue SoundMeter or parts of it at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service by posting a revised version at this URL with a new effective date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, excluding conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
